Program

The PM in Neurology aims to qualify highly specialized professionals in specific areas, in addition to offering basic academic-scientific training. Only doctors who have completed the Medical Residency in Neurology or Pediatric Neurology can apply to the PM.

 

Training takes place considering theoretical and practical specialization courses, whereas academic training includes the final work (dissertation), which must be defended in a public session for final approval.

 

Students can choose two areas of expertise:

1. Chronic-degenerative and immune-mediated diseases of the nervous system

2. Developmental Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology

 In each of these areas, applicants can choose a specific area:

    A. Neuromuscular Diseases and Clinical Neuroimmunology

    B. Movement Disorders and Behavioral Neurology

    C. Vascular Neurology

 2. Developmental Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology

    A. Pediatric Neurology

    B. Epilepsy

    C. Electroneuromyography

    D. Polysomnography
